1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CVWay ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, whether on a free or paid plan.

2. Description of Service

CVWay is an online CV/resume builder that allows users to create, manage, and download professional CVs. The Service includes AI-powered CV tailoring, template selection, and CV management features depending on the user's subscription plan.

3. Account Registration

To use CVWay, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate and complete information. One account per person is permitted.

4. Subscription Plans

CVWay offers the following plans:

Free — 1 CV, view in-app only, no AI tailoring, no downloads, no CV management features.
Pro Monthly — $12/month. Unlimited CVs, 20 AI tailoring credits per month, unlimited downloads, full CV management and funnel features.
Pro Bundle — $27 for 3 months. Same features as Pro Monthly. AI credits reset each month within the 3-month period.
AI Credits Top-up — $4 one-time purchase. Adds 10 AI tailoring credits to your balance. Available to Pro users only. Top-up credits do not expire.

We reserve the right to modify plan features and pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions will be honored at the original price until the end of the current billing period.

5. Payment and Billing

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our merchant of record. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing settings page. Upon cancellation:

You retain full Pro access for a 30-day grace period from the cancellation date.
After the grace period, your account reverts to read-only mode: your CVs remain visible in-app but cannot be edited, downloaded, or created.
Your CV data is never deleted automatically.
You may re-subscribe at any time to regain full access.

Refund requests are handled by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their refund policy.

7. AI Features

CVWay offers AI-powered CV tailoring that uses your CV content to generate suggestions and improvements. Please note:

AI-generated content is provided as a suggestion. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use it.
AI output is not professional career advice. CVWay makes no guarantees about the effectiveness of AI suggestions.
AI credits are consumed each time you use an AI tailoring action. Credits are non-refundable.
Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period. Top-up credits do not expire.

8. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to CVWay, including CV text, personal information, and any uploaded files. By using the Service, you grant CVWay a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you provide. Do not include information that you do not have the right to share.

9. Intellectual Property

CVWay, including its platform, branding, design, and CV templates, is the intellectual property of CVWay and its licensors. Templates are licensed to you for personal and professional use in creating CVs only. You may not redistribute, resell, or repurpose templates outside of CVWay.

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from CVWay
Redistribute or resell CVWay templates or generated content
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it

11. Data and Privacy

Your use of CVWay is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

12. Service Availability

CVWay is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVWay and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to CVWay in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in prohibited conduct. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request a full data export before account deletion.

15. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution mechanisms available under applicable law.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
